Prosecutors in Las Vegas, Nevada, have announced their decision not to file charges against Cristiano Ronaldo due to insufficient evidence.
Clark County District Attorney’s Office, via statement According to the alleged victim, Kathryn Mayorga, the rape accorded in 2009, in Ronaldo’s hotel room after the two met at a nightclub earlier that night.
Mayorga claims she was initially paid a $375,000 settlement for her silence, but asked for the investigation to be re-opened nine years later in 2018.
This prompted a statement from Ronaldo, who accused Mayorga of lying to “promote” herself.
